Ferrari, Charles Leclerc makes self-criticism: his two regrets of 2022
So many reasons for frustration, but also several regrets.
Charles Leclerc experienced a two-sided 2022, marked by nine pole positions but only three wins to his credit. Over the course of the season there have been many problems with his Ferrari’s reliability, and also the team’s mistakes in the pits. The Monegasque driver, however, also wanted to admit responsibility in his end-of-year analysis.
“I have always been very frank in talking about my mistakes, and this year I made two in particular that were very important. And that cost quite a few points,” Leclerc noted, as reported by ‘RacingNews365.’ “When you make mistakes, however, the most important thing is to learn from them and not make them again. I am therefore overall happy with my season, I think it is very good.” The reference, however implied, seems to be to Imola and Le Castellet.
“In 2021 I had encountered many problems, especially at the end of the season. This year there have been many positive changes. It should also be said that Max Verstappen and Red Bull were practically flawless, and they won their respective championships with merit,” Leclerc concluded.
