Valerio Mazzola underwent surgery
Good news for Victoria Libertas Pesaro and Valerio Mazzola: the operation undergone by the Marche team’s big forward, who was back from a ruptured Achilles tendon suffered in the challenge against Virtus Bologna, was successful.
“Carpegna Prosciutto Basket Pesaro announces that the surgery Valerio Mazzola underwent for the complete rupture of the right Achilles tendon by Prof. Raul Zini at the Maria Cecilia Hospital clinic in Cotignola (Ravenna) was perfectly successful. During the operation, a percutaneous tenoraffia (tendon suture) was performed,” reads the note released by the red and white club.
