Lecce looks to Florence for midfield
After beating Varazdin 2-0 in a friendly match played at the Via del Mare, Lecce continues its preparation ahead of the resumption of the championship. Meanwhile, the management of the Giallorossi club is looking for a reinforcement in the midfield department.
The Salento club has reportedly set its sights on Italian-Moroccan midfielder class 1998 Youssef Maleh, owned by Fiorentina. As reported by Sky Sport, contacts between the parties have already been initiated and a negotiation based on a loan with right of redemption would be in the works. Lecce, however, is not the only club on Maleh: Sampdoria is also interested in the Viola midfielder’s performance and had put on the table a possible exchange with Sabiri, who Fiorentina likes.
Maleh, for his part, would welcome a move to the Apulian club since he has so far found little space in Vincenzo Italiano’s rotations, collecting 7 league appearances, of which only 4 as a starter.
