Milan, Pioli scares fans over Maignan
Milan coach Pioli: “We can’t say when Maigna will be back.”
Rumors about goalkeepers being approached by Milan have multiplied in recent days: after Devis Vasquez, who is arriving from Guaranì, the Rossoneri club has reportedly also contacted Sergio Rico of Psg. Maldini and Massara are frantically searching for replacements because neither Mirante nor Tatarusanu offer the necessary guarantees to replace Mike Maignan.
The Scudetto-winning goalkeeper is still out with a calf problem-a nagging muscle trouble still without resolution. At the press conference Pioli was clear: “At this moment it is not possible to say when he will return, it certainly won’t be short. Everything tells us that we cannot load the work.”
Still on the French goalkeeper: “I don’t care what they tell me from France about Maignan, for our evaluations we cannot force on his injury. Today I have 23 players available and they are enough to face the challenge of Salerno. Who will play on Wednesday? The second is Tatarusanu. I have confidence in him and Mirante.”
