Didier Deschamps remains technical commissioner of the French national team
Didier Deschamps and France forward again until 2026. The French Federation made official on Saturday morning the official announcement of the contract extension with the coach who, in ten years in charge, won the 2018 World Cup and the 2020/21 Nations League, finished second at Euro 2016 and at the most recent World Cup in Qatar, losing in the final on penalties to Argentina.
“The French Football Federation and President Noël Le Graët are pleased to announce the extension of the relationship with Didier Deschamps, as technical commissioner, until 2026.” This means that, at least by contract, Deschamps will lead the Gallettos until the next World Cup, the final stage of which is scheduled for the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
