NBA: record-breaking Miami: 40/40 at the free against OKC
Butler, from the lunette, closes with a crazy 23-23
So many NBA regular season contests played on the night. It will remain in history the victory, in a sprint, of Miami against OKC (112-111 the final). The Heat score 40 free throws out of as many shot, setting a new NBA record (breaking the previous record of Utah, which, in 1982, made an excellent 39/39). Incredible Butler finishing with 23/23 (his was the winning free throw).
In the other games, Golden State found Curry again (24 points) but lost to Phoenix (125-113). Nice success of Orlando against Portland (109-106) with 19 points by Italian-American Banchero. Philadelphia easily disposes of Detroit (147-116) while Utah wins with Cleveland (116-114, zero points by Fontecchio in 5′ of play). Dallas falls, beaten by the LA Clippers (113-101, 43 points by Doncic). Finally, Toronto beats Charlotte 132-120.
