Elena Curtoni ready for encore in Cortina: “Never in years”
Italian skier thinks about SuperG on Sunday
Elena Curtoni commented very satisfied with her third place in the downhill in Cortina d’Ampezzo: “On such a short race it was predictable that we would all come attached, the hundredths were on my side. I didn’t think it was enough, so many athletes here are going strong and on windy days you could never tell, but I still did mine and above all I can always be solid: I can stay there with the continuity that I have been chasing for years,” are the words reported to Fisi.
The head is already to Sunday’s SuperG: “I am happy with the skiing these days, I like this slope so much, but the head is already to the supergiant. I’ve already won here in the supergiant, but every race is on its own, you have to push every turn and give 100 percent thinking, more than about results, about what you give on the slope. You will have to be able to read the track, the blind spots and really push the sequences of corners where you can really push.”
