Genoa, spotlight on a former Liverpool man
Grifone is probing free agents
Trails continue to emerge, even quite fascinating ones, for the reinforcement the Genoa management would be looking for for Alberto Gilardino’s attack. In recent days that of Russian former Zenit St. Petersburg and Adana Demirspor among others, Artem Dzyuba, has come back into fashion.
The name of the 1988-class giant, which had already been made before the start of the winter soccer market session, however, is not the only one approached to the Rossoblù colors. In fact, in addition to that of Dzyuba, that of the experienced German striker Max Kruse, who has played with Borussia Monchengladbach, Wolfsburg and Fenerbache among others, has also been made.
The latest suggestion for the Grifone’s offensive department would lead to a former Premier League and Liverpool player: it’s 1989 British born Daniel Sturridge. The former ‘Reds’, who also played for Chelsea in his career, is free after last season’s adventure with Australian club Perth Glory. Sturridge’s market value would be around 300,000 euros but at the moment the track is still only a hypothesis.
