MotoGp, Marc Marquez and Honda riders already worried
Honda and Marc Marquez lagging behind after first day in Sepang lead
Honda lagging behind, Marc Marquez only 12th after the first day of MotoGp testing in Sepang. It’s too early to make any predictions, but the second that distances Marquez from leader Marco Bezzecchi certainly doesn’t leave HRC quiet.
The Catalan star made an initial assessment to Speedweek at the end of the day: “I have four bikes to test in the pits, but the differences are not big. We have several things to try, but the feeling was more or less the same as in Valencia. We will continue to work over the next two days. I’m glad I felt much better than a year ago on a physical level.”
Marquez is mainly looking ahead to Portimao: “I think we will also have other news for Portimao, let’s wait. In the meantime we are working, collecting data and trying to improve tenth by tenth because we are still far from the top riders. It’s early to make judgments, let’s proceed step by step.”
Teammate Joan Mir also reports difficulties: “We have problems, that’s clear. The track is not the best for Honda, although the Malaysia track is completely different from Valencia, this time the bike was not very different.”
