Olimpia Milano, Ettore Messina doesn’t hide: “Indecent first half.”
Harsh words after a surprise defeat.
Ettore Messina does not turn around the problems of Olimpia Milano, eliminated from basketball’s Coppa Italia after the 75-72 loss to Leonessa Brescia at Turin’s Pala Alpitour. And the coach of the meneghini is severe in particular for the performance of his team before the long halftime.
“Brescia won it twice. We had an indecent first half,” were Messina’s harsh words. “We made unnecessary fouls, which gave them points. We threw away a great opportunity.”
From Messina also came words of praise for the Leonessa, accompanied by the sound rejection of Milan, particularly regarding the first 20′ of the game. “Our defense in the first half was mediocre. We had a surrender in the first half that is not acceptable. Brescia defended with great physicality,” Olimpia’s coach noted.
