Juventus expels La Spezia: Kean-Di Maria sign the success
Kean-Di Maria sign Juventus’ success in ‘La Spezia’
Juventus restarts immediately after the disappointing Europa League draw with Nantes. The Bianconeri beat Spezia 2-0 in Sunday’s 6 p.m. match of the 23rd day of Serie A.
In the first half, after a goal disallowed to Vlahovic for offside, of note in the 19th minute was a groin injury for Dragowski that forced the Spezia goalkeeper to forfeit: Marchetti took his place. A few minutes later Juve went close to the lead with a breakaway by Danilo off a Paredes corner that hissed off the post. The goal was not long in coming: in the 32nd minute Kean, left free in the box, turns in a nice cross from Kostic at the second post, beating Marchetti. Spezia responded with a double chance for Shomurodov but Juve saved.
In the second half, Spezia immediately pushes in search of an equalizer: in the 53rd minute, Shomurodov kicks a sure shot but Alex Sandro immolates himself and saves the guests. A few minutes later Allegri inserted Di Maria and the Argentine only needed ten minutes to leave his mark on the match: in the 66th minute the Argentine striker let off a beautiful diagonal pass on Danilo’s assist that slotted into the corner. Spezia still tried to respond, however, but Perin was insurmountable: first, he saved on a shot from Gyasi’s spot kick and then foiled a fine header from Nikolau.
Juventus thus won the three points, moving up to seventh place in the standings tied with Bologna at 32. For Spezia, the bad moment continues, stuck at 19 points, seventeenth in the standings.
