Lorenzo Musetti has a new goal
After losing to Peru’s Varillas in the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 in Buenos Aires, Lorenzo Musetti is starting over at the ATP 500 in Rio de Janeiro, where he will be the No. 3 seed in the draw.
The Carrara-based tennis player spoke this way on the eve of his tournament debut – he will take on qualifier Jarry tonight -, setting a new goal: “Yes, it’s a goal that I definitely reached [the Top-20], but now that I’ve climbed this Top-20 the goals change. The next step is, clearly, to try to get into the Top-10. Although there are only a few positions difference, this is a very big, very important, very large step. It certainly won’t be easy, but we will put all our humility and work into getting there as a team.”
