Mercedes, so many problems: Lewis Hamilton won’t go around it
The very clear admission is that of several problems yet to be solved.
Lewis Hamilton had to settle for 15th place in the overall driver standings on track in Bahrain for the second day of Formula One testing. And the seven-time world champion was clear about the problems Mercedes is facing at this stage of preparation for the 2023 championship.
“We faced a difficult morning,” admitted Hamilton at fone day, “The temperatures were very hot, and it made it complicated to manage the overheating of the tires. In Bahrain this is a problem that occurs often, but we still managed to complete the number of laps we had planned.”
It is clear from Hamilton’s words how Mercedes does not intend to give up in the face of adversity, which currently puts it more than two seconds behind Red Bull. “Getting so many kilometers is certainly something positive. Now everyone is working hard and with great concentration. We are trying to find out everything we can about the W14, and on the last day of testing we have put in a lot of work,” Hamilton concluded.
