F1: Red Bull ahead at end of test, Leclerc and Sainz after Hamilton
Test over, with Red Bull ahead of everyone and signs for Ferrari to interpret.
Red Bull was also authoritatively first after the third day of testing that Formula 1 held in Bahrain. Indeed, Sergio Perez took the fastest time of the day, followed by Lewis Hamilton in a resurgent Mercedes. Fourth and fifth were the Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, also beaten by the solid Alfa Romeo of Valtteri Bottas.
For Ferrari come signs to interpret, ahead of the season debut at the Bahrain Grand Prix, also to be held at the Sakhir circuit. Charles Leclerc, in particular, was comfortable on the dry lap (so much so that he ended the morning in the lead), while on tire management in the longer runs there continue to be problems. On the upswing was Mercedes at the chrono level, but Hamilton reported some difficulties in handling a single-seater that is still complex to control.
