Leclerc-Hamilton swap: Monegasque denies and swears love to Ferrari
“I love Ferrari and I want to win here,” Leclerc said.
Charles Leclerc spoke to Sky’s microphones ahead of the Jeddah race: “It’s certainly not nice to start with a penalty already at the second GP, but that’s the past and we have to move on, it will be an uphill race, but I like this challenge: we are there and the team knows they can count on us. We had some problems with the Power Unit in Bahrain, but we understood them: I think there is great motivation in the team to go up again, we will bring new things to fight with Red Bull, I want to race and do everything to have a good feeling.”
“I hope to be fast to recover positions by overtaking and having fun, without waiting for any Safety Car or Virtual Safety Car related neutralizations: in Sakhir we did not have the GP we wanted, especially in the race because in practice we went better, but we have indications to do better and get closer to the top,” Leclerc continued.
Finally, he peremptorily denied rumors about a possible swap with Hamilton: “It’s important to clarify this well because in recent times there are so many rumors coming out of nowhere about us, perhaps to put us in trouble. The team is united, what is said outside should not affect us, I love Ferrari and I want to come back and win here.”
