Jos Verstappen blunt: “Max would have easily won the pole position”

The second Gp of the F1 season ended with another Red Bull one-two. However, inside the Milton Keynes stable, the climate is not completely calm especially after the issue of the point of the fastest lap recorded by Max Verstappen on the last lap, disobeying the team’s demands. On the episode and the Dutchman’s race, Jos Verstappen spoke at the microphones of “formule1.nl,” who launched several barbs at the competition.

“I knew he was going to do it. It wasn’t beautiful, but this way he stayed ahead in the championship. Of course everyone wants to win, but in Arabia it was not possible. The margin was too thin to risk it, but I don’t think Perez will often have the chance to win,” began the father of the two-time world champion.

“Qualifying did not favor us, but we know that Max would have easily taken pole position without the problems we had. The race was a little easier and he was able to come back quickly, although it is very difficult to overtake on the Jeddah circuit,” added the former Benetton man.

“It looks like we will be dominant this year. We have a very good car. I don’t know if the others will be able to get closer or overtake us, but I know that we are not standing still because the developments on the car continue so that we are getting better and better,” concluded Jos Verstappen.
