The words of Lucius Boscardin

Lucio Boscardin, the inventor of Ciao, the famous mascot of the Italia ’90 World Cup, chose the Circolo Amici dell’Arte in Villasanta, Brianza, to present the evolution of the tricolor little man.

“Itti italiano,” this is the name chosen, will be a testimonial of Italian culture and was unveiled during an interesting exhibition that was the corollary to the ceremony, which was as informal as it was evocative.

“In 2020, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ciao, I put in my head this new project that archives that mascot that was missing two pieces compared to those I had thought of based on the writing of the word Italy. I opened a new chapter,” Boscardin said.
