Jannik Sinner after Miami ranks first in the world in one particular statistic
A peculiar but at the same time very accurate statistic, presenting a world No. 1 now to be held in high regard.
Jannik Sinner won the compliments of the entire Planet after the Miami Masters 1000, where he managed to beat Carlos Alcaraz. He then had to surrender to Daniil Medvedev in the final, but his exploit in Florida was enough to put him ahead of any colleague on the ATP circuit in a specific statistic.
During a so far magical 2023, in fact, Sinner has managed to beat a fellow Top 5 world ranking three times. An important streak, coming after the 15 consecutive defeats accrued after the Australian Open. Since then, however, the South Tyrolean has gotten the better of Stefanos Tsitsipas in Rotterdam, Taylor Fritz in Indian Wells, and then Alcaraz.
Since the beginning of the year, no one has yet managed to accomplish such a feat. In fact, stuck at two are Cameron Norrie and Alex De Minaur, while the emblazoned Novak Djokovic and Medvedev, as well as Alcaraz himself, are still stuck at one.
