Lecce, Sticchi Damiani charges the team ahead of Verona

After the defeat to Juventus and a few days away from the crucial salvation clash with Hellas Verona, Lecce president Saverio Sticchi Damiani spoke to the “Nuovo Quotidiano di Puglia” to send a message to his boys.

“Not being at the stadium next to the boys is a pain, but I ideally embraced them and thanked them for their performance in Turin against a great team like Juventus. I am proud of my players, as they provided an excellent performance, with quality plays and creating several dangers in the offensive phase, despite the many absences,” began the president of the Salento club.

Afterwards, Sticchi Damiani wanted to send a message to the fans ahead of the match with Verona: “Even though we did not score, we came out of the Allianz Stadium with a lot of confidence ahead of the season finale. We will need everyone’s help on Sunday. We will need the warmth of our fans who have dragged us all along the championship, because this Lecce deserves to stay in Serie A for a long time.”
