Genoa scores its first strike of the summer soccer market session. The Rossoblù have exercised the redemption option for the outright purchase of Josep Martinez from RB Leipzig. The Spanish extreme defender was one of the protagonists of the Grifone’s promotion to Serie A and one of the key elements of Alberto Gilardino’s squad.
“Genoa CFC announces that it has exercised the option to acquire, outright, the sporting rights related to goalkeeper Josep Martinez, one of the protagonists that allowed the club to obtain promotion to Serie A,” this is the statement issued by the club.
