MotoGp: Ducati and Bagnaia dominate at Mugello. Fourth Marini, Marquez down
Absolute domination of Pecco Bagnaia in the MotoGp Italian Grand Prix. The Ducati centaur led the race at Mugello from the first to the last lap, finishing with a gap ahead of the two Pramac riders Jorge Martin and Johann Zarco.
It was a dream weekend for the world champion, who had also triumphed in Saturday’s sprint race. The Piedmontese rider stretches his overall ranking over Marco Bezzecchi, who was just eighth on the Tuscan track.
At the foot of the podium another Ducati, that of Luca Marini, then the KTM of Brad Binder and the Aprilia of Aleix Espargarò. Completing the Top Ten are Jack Miller, Marco Bezzecchi, Enea Bastianini and Franco Morbidelli. Eleventh is Fabio Quartararo.
Down goes Marc Marquez, who crashed on lap seven after going wide in turn 15-a trivial mistake for an eight-time world champion. His brother Alex also fell.
