Brindisi, Fabio Corbani is the new coach: official
Happy Casa Brindisi announced in a statement that it has entrusted the biancoazzurra bench to Fabio Corbani, formerly the assistant coach during the last sports season.
“An experienced coach endowed with great passion, competence and personality, he marked his debut as Happy Casa’s head coach on May 19 on the occasion of the last official game of the season in the playoffs scudetto against Virtus Bologna, replacing the disqualified Frank Vitucci on the bench.”
“For him it is a return as head coach in Serie A, when in the first part of the 2015/16 season he led Pallacanestro Cantù in the LBA and Europe Cup until the change of foreign ownership.”
“An expert connoisseur of youth basketball, he holds the record of four junior championships won in ten years, recognized by the 2009 Reverberi Award for the youth section (Treviso) and the title of ‘Benemerito Coach’ by the Italian Basketball Federation in 2016.”
“From 1991 to 1999 he served as head of the youth section in his hometown of Milan, with prestigious results such as two junior championships (1997-98) At Olimpia he joined the first team as an assistant (1997-99), hitting the Serie A playoffs and a Saporta Cup final in both seasons.”
