Varese basketball says goodbye to its general manager

Michael Arcieri is no longer the general manager of Varese Basketball

Varese Basketball has announced the separation from its general manager Michael Arcieri.

“Pallacanestro Varese announces that from next season Michael Arcieri will no longer be the general manager of the red and white club,” reads the note issued by the Lombard club.
“Having joined the company in January 2022, Arcieri has been able to fit perfectly into the reality of Varese, creating a strong bond with the city and fans. From a sporting point of view, on the other hand, he has contributed in a fundamental way to the excellent results achieved by Openjobmetis during the past season, which earned him the Best Executive of the Year award.”
“The club would like to thank Mike for what he has done in the red and white and wish him all the best in the continuation of his career.”

“These last eighteen months have been for me among the most exciting of my life,” confessed Arcieri. “It has been beautiful and stimulating to work with a living legend like Luis and to deal with entrepreneurs of the thickness of Toto Bulgheroni as well as to relate daily with all the wonderful technical and administrative staff. My family and I will forever be grateful to Pallacanestro Varese and the city of Varese for the affection and welcome shown to us from the beginning and especially to the very warm fans who with so much strength and tenacity have been of great support to all of us every day. Today our paths part but there are emotions and memories of this magical season that I will forever cherish in my heart.”
