Juventus in a statement made official the outright redemption of Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik from Marseille after playing last season on loan with the Bianconeri shirt. Here is the text of the statement.
“Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that it has exercised the option right for the outright acquisition of the sports performance of the player Arkadiusz Krystian Milik, from Olympique de Marseille, for a consideration of € 6.3 million, payable in three financial years starting in July 2023. Upon the occurrence of certain conditions during the term of the sports performance contract with the player, a consideration of € 1.1 million may accrue in favor of Olympique de Marseille. Juventus had signed a sports performance contract with the same player until June 30, 2026.”
Milik, 29 years old on Feb. 28, arrived in Serie A in 2016 with the Napoli shirt, with which he won a Coppa Italia in 2020 and played for four and a half years until January 2021, before moving to Marseille. In August last year he went on loan to the Bianconeri with a total of 39 appearances and 9 goals among all competitions, while with the partenopei he had totaled 122 appearances and 48 goals.
“To be able to continue and to be able to play for these colors, this jersey and for you fans, I consider it a privilege, and for this I will do everything to continue to deserve it. I am happy and charged for this new adventure with you, until the end,” Milik commented on social media.
