Paolo Bertolucci harsh on Jannik Sinner after Halle stop: “Drop by Rome…”
One more stop for Jannik Sinner: the South Tyrolean tennis player in Halle dropped out of the match against Bublik as a precautionary measure after experiencing muscle pain. After a consultation with the physiotherapist and a quick treatment, the Italian athlete decided to withdraw in order not to jeopardize his participation in Wimbledon.
A forfeit that further complicates the difficult period for Sinner, who has been struggling to find his way back since Monte Carlo. Also commenting on the stop was Paolo Bertolucci on Twitter: “But a trip to Rome to get blessed? What do you say @janniksin?” is the post between ironic and concerned from the former Italian tennis player.
If the problem recedes, Sinner will be on the court in just over a week at Wimbledon, for the third Slam of the season-a tournament that should see him among the stars.
