MotoGP, the sorrow of Marc Marquez
Marc Marquez in the sprint race of the MotoGP class Dutch Grand Prix at the Assen circuit scored only a modest 17th place with his Honda, well outside the points zone. Here are his statements to the microphones of Sky Sports.
“How am I doing? I could be better, but at least I’m up. The race? I chose the soft front tire not to test, but because it was the one that gave me the most confidence. I’m going slower, but at least I’m not in danger of crashing. I have to get my feeling back with my bike and for now I have to go like this. I have a broken finger, a fractured rib, and a knocked-out ligament in my foot. Not pushing is unavoidable. I try, but in every change of direction I lose a tenth from the others. Tomorrow I will try to have another race, starting well, then we will see.”
Conclusion on the collision with Enea Bastianini. “As they say when things go wrong ‘it rains in the wet’. I am so sorry for what happened and for crashing into Enea Bastianini. Too bad.”
