The American was decisive in the race for the Scudetto

Just hours after winning its 30th Scudetto, Olimpia is already thinking about next season. After confirming the arrival of Caruso and the three-year deal to Shields, there are questions about what Napier’s future will be.

The American point guard, who arrived in Milan in January, was decisive in winning the Scudetto. His leadership changed the face of the team, as did his excellent direction in the middle of the court. The Milanese club wants to retain him at all costs but, before signing the new contract, Napier wants to think it over.

“I am comfortable here, however, I need to talk about it with the family. It’s an important decision and I need to think about it,” Napier’s own words during the Media Day organized by star Olimpia Milano. The next few days will be crucial to understand if Napier will be part of the AX roster for next season as well. Coach Messina hopes there will be no nasty surprises and that he can continue to count on his starting point guard.
