Alberto Aquilani is the new coach of Pisa

It is now official: Alberto Aquilani is the new coach of Pisa.

“The Pisa Sporting Club announces that it has entrusted the position of Head Coach of the First Team to Alberto Aquilani,” reads the note issued by the Nerazzurri club.

“After ending a prestigious career as a footballer that led him to wear the Azzurra jersey 38 times and among others, the shirts of Roma, Liverpool, Milan and Juventus, Alberto Aquilani immediately embarked on that as a coach. His path as a coach developed in Fiorentina; initially on the bench of the Under 18 team, then as a technical collaborator of Beppe Iachini in the staff of the First team and finally as the Coach of the Primavera formation.”

“In three seasons Alberto Aquilani, born in 1984, has won 3 Italian Cups and 2 Super Cups in his category, as well as the title of Best Coach of the Championship at the “Primavera Best Awards 2023″; his Fiorentina, in the season just ended, also came close to the Scudetto defeated by Lecce in the final after extra time.”

“The new Pisa Sporting coach will be officially presented to the press on Monday, July 10, 2023.”
