“Umana Reyer is pleased to communicate the signing of the agreement with Bruno Caboclo, a Brazilian center of 206cm and 231cm wingspan, coming from Ratiopharm Ulm,” reads the note issued by the Venetian club.
“Caboclo was born in Osasco (São Paulo, Brazil) on September 21, 1995 and began his basketball growth in Grêmio Recreativo Barueri, a club that promotes sports for young students.
In 2013 he worked with coach Rafael Franco at Score Academy in Raleigh (North Carolina), while in the 2013/14 season he began his professional career at Pinheiros in Brazil’s premier league (NBB). In June 2014 Caboclo was selected by the Toronto Raptors at 20 in the NBA Draft where he made his debut on November 21, 2014 against Milwaukee. From 2015 to 2018 he plays three seasons with the Raptors 905, in the NBA Development League, dragging the team to victory in 2017, in the decisive Game 3 for the title he scores 31 points with 11 rebounds.”
“In February 2018 he signs with the Sacramento Kings and completes the season in the G League jersey of the Reno Bighorns, while in August of the same year he moves to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, a team affiliated with the Houston Rockets.
In January 2019 he signed with the Memphis Grizzlies where he worked with Neven Spahija and signed his NBA career high (where he played 105 games) with 24 points scored against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
