F1, Max Verstappen no-holds-barred on clash with Sergio Perez
Max Verstappen’s words after his victory in the Sprint Race
After his success in the Sprint Race of the Austrian GP, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen spoke bluntly about his performance and the clash he had with teammate Sergio Perez in the early stages of the race.
“The start was bad, I had some skidding. But after I regained the lead everything went well, I just had to manage the tires. I knew that without the rain doing all the laps with the intermediates would be difficult, but we tried to hold on. The slicks were much faster, but we had so much advantage that there was no point in stopping,” the Dutch driver began at the microphones of “Sky Sport F1”
“During the battle with Checo there was a bad moment after turn-1. I found myself on the grass and the track was damp, but fortunately we managed to keep the car on track and then we did our race,” added Max Verstappen.
