Sampdoria says goodbye to Fabio Quagliarella
With a social media post, Sampdoria said goodbye to its captain Fabio Quagliarella after his contract was not renewed. Here is the text.
“By saying ‘thank you’ you create love. A love – ours – that will never end. Thank you Fabio, for making us rejoice, shout, jump and dream. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Captain. Forever one of us.”
Quagliarella, 40, from Castellammare di Stabia, has played with the Blucerchiata jersey for the past seven and a half seasons, since February 2016, collecting between all competitions a total of 293 appearances and 106 goals.
