Already a familiar face in Serie A, he may return to our league in a granata jersey.

Salernitana in contention for a center forward who has played in Italy with the Milan jerseys and, more briefly, with those of Genoa and Torino. He is Mbaye Niang who, apart from six months in Saudi Arabia with Al-Ahli, has played continuously in Ligue 1 since 2018. After his experiences with Rennes and Bordeaux, however, his experience with Auxerre also ended, and now the Senegalese national is close to saying goodbye to France again.

As anticipated by ‘L’Equipe,’ in fact, Salernitana is among the most active European clubs to sign the unemployed Niang on a zero-parameter basis. However, there are other competitors, including the Spaniards of Las Palmas and the Turks of Konyaspor. There is also no shortage of new Saudi sirens, but at the moment they are not bothering the Granata management.

According to the transalpine daily, in fact, Niang would be reasoning about his future on the strength of the experiences already gained in Italy. And his next stop along the Boot could now be Paulo Sousa’s Salernitana.
