Mateo Retegui moves closer to Serie A: Genoa tries to beat everyone
From the national team to Serie A, but the list of suitors is getting longer.
Mateo Retegui seems ever closer to a move to Italy, whose national team jersey he already wears. The Azzurri, who was born in Argentina to a family of Sicilian descent, has so far only worn the jerseys of Boca Juniors, Estudiantes de La Plata, Talleres and Tigre. The next adventure in his career, however, could be in Serie A, with Genoa trying to beat even prestigious competitors to the punch.
According to reports from ‘Sky Sport,’ in fact, it is precisely the Grifone that is trying to close the deal, taking advantage of the excellent relations with Boca Juniors, which holds the player’s tag. Therefore, to be evaluated is whether Retegui could land in Liguria on loan, and with what conditions for his redemption. The alternatives, however, are not lacking.
In fact, on Retegui’s tracks there has also been AC Milan for some time. The ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’ also speaks of an offer for the striker that came directly from Juventus, with the Bianconeri, however, that would have received it lukewarmly having already Vlahovic in the squad. Much more defiladed Inter, not to be underestimated instead is Fiorentina, which for weeks has expressed interest in his profile.
