Mauro Icardi stays at Galatasaray

Mauro Icardi will not return to Serie A, at least for now. Despite rumors of a possible return to Italy for the former Inter captain, it will still be Galatasaray who will have him in their team, acquiring his permanent tag from Paris Saint-Germain.

Reporting the news is ‘L’Equipe,’ according to which the negotiation is now in the details. Last season, Icardi played a total of 26 games with the Turkish club, between league and national cup, scoring 23 times and showing a good feeling with club and fans, also thanks to his success in the 2022/23 Turkish Super Lig.

PSG will receive 10 million euros. Thus, the two resounding market hypotheses, which would have wanted Icardi at one of Inter’s two main rival clubs, AC Milan or Juventus, fade away.
