Milinkovic-Savic, Lazio farewell: arrival day set at Al Hilal
Further steps toward divestment in Saudi Arabia.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio to Al Hilal is now a closed negotiation, with the last details having been filed and also the Serbian player’s schedule of commitments having already been set. If in fact the agreement between the direct interested party and the two clubs had already been reached, in the meantime the exchange of documents between the clubs’ managements has also been concluded. Not only that, the day on which the deal will become effective is also popping up.
In fact, Milinkovic-Savic’s medical examinations will take place between Wednesday and Thursday, at which point he will be able to put his signature on the contract that Al Hilal has prepared for him. There is talk of a sum in excess of 20 million per season, which the future former Lazio talent will receive until 2026. The Capitoline club, on the other hand, will gain a treasure of 40 million euros from the deal.
Milinkovic-Savic is only the latest champion, in chronological order, to move to the Saudi Pro League: Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Kanté, Mendy, Brozovic, Firmino, Koulibaly, and Ruben Neves are already there. Watch out also for Paul Pogba: Al Ittihad is serious and has offered a pharaonic contract to snatch him from Juventus.
The Serbian, whom Lazio fans had renamed the “Sergeant,” is changing teams after eight seasons. During this time, Milinkovic-Savic managed to amass 341 appearances in all competitions and topped them with 69 goals. These numbers make him the foreigner and the midfielder who has scored the most goals in the history of the capital club.
