Marko Arnautovic warns suitors
Marko Arnautovic has no doubts about his future
Marko Arnautovic, from Bologna’s retreat in Valles, also spoke in a press conference about the market rumors concerning him, sending a clear message to the suitors: “I hear all these people saying ‘Arnautovic is leaving,’ but I’m staying here, I haven’t talked to anyone and I don’t want to be anywhere else. Soccer is strange but I am really happy to be here at Bologna.”
The Austrian striker, among other things, tried to dispel any doubts about alleged disagreements with coach Thiago Motta: “All the disagreements they talked about were not reflected in our locker room. It’s true, it’s not like we go to dinner or aperitifs, but like me others: he is the coach and on the field everything is fine. From a professional point of view, the relationship is perfect.”
Arnautovic comes from a season that ended with 21 appearances to his credit, conditioned by a series of physical problems that limited his continuity on the field. Despite this, the Austrian still managed to get into double figures, netting 10 goals that made him the Emiliani’s second best scorer of the season, behind Riccardo Orsolini’s 11 achievements.
Prior to his two seasons in Bologna, Arnautovic enjoyed a globetrotting career: he played in his native Austria (Floridsdorfer), the Netherlands (Twente), a first time in Italy (Inter, three appearances in the year of the Triplete), Germany (Werder Bremen), England (Stoke City and West Ham) and China (Shanghai Port).
