Valentino Rossi explains what victory is in a viral video
A video Valentino Rossi made immediately after his triumph in the GTWCE race in Misano has gone viral. The Doctor triumphed in race-2 at the wheel of the WRT team BMW and received a warm embrace from the home crowd.
After the podium, with the trophy in his hands, the former MotoGp centaur explained by walking his feelings after returning to victory. Something he had been missing for a long time, since Assen 2017. “They say getting on the podium is important…however, c…o, winning gives you that thing in your back and legs that makes you go ‘brrr’. (laughs ed.).”
“Dude, then you feel like you’re in control when you’re first. Because when you’re second, you feel like you could have done better, but first you didn’t.” The video posted on Instagram immediately went viral.
“Now I am no longer the former biker, rivals respect me,” are the words reported by Gazzetta dello Sport after the victory. “Now my rivals look at me differently, with respect, because if before I was mostly Valentino the former biker, now they have understood that I can also be fast with four wheels. I really like that.”
Team principal Vincent Vosse could not hide his excitement. “Misano has always been a special place for us, we have had great success in the past, but to win here with Vale is really something different. On a more personal note, I would like to dedicate this victory to my mom, who in addition to always having supported me in everything I’ve done, has been a big fan of Vale since the MotoGP days, and she is very, very happy today!”
