Marco Bezzecchi speaks out on Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi
Ducati centaur Marco Bezzecchi in an interview with Solomoto spoke about the VR46 Academy and how it has affected his career: “It’s like the extension of my family.”
“They have always believed in me, and they have given me a hand for everything that was needed. And besides working together, we are all very close friends. Not only among the drivers; also with Uccio, who is my boss in the team, with Albi, Carlo, with all the staff and the whole organizational part.”
Valentino Rossi remains the reference point: “For me he has always been my absolute idol. I grew up watching his races, and when I was a kid he was already winning. I feel very lucky not only to know him, but also to have him as a leader. But most of all I feel very happy because he is so much more, he is a very special boss.”
On the rivalry with Marc Marquez, Bezzecchi was clear: “You can admire Rossi without necessarily hating Marquez. Me in the official Ducati team? If I received an offer to ride an official Ducati, of course I would love it. But that’s why all of us who are in the Academy work very hard every day, to grow as riders and have this offer come one day.”
