Marc Marquez’s crisis would not depend only on Honda’s obvious difficulties, according to Alvaro Bautista. For the world superbike champion, the Catalan centaur since his return from the long stop has failed to adapt and understand the new MotoGp to the best of his ability, and has been wrong not to change his riding style.

“In my opinion it also affects the change in MotoGP with so much aerodynamics, so much electronics and so many innovations brought. The development was there when Marc got injured, then when he came back he found a very different MotoGP that is ridden in another way, with less aggressiveness,” the Iberian centaur explained in a Youtube interview.

“Marquez is always very aggressive and wants to ride that way, however, now this is not working and he cannot do it. He has to understand how to ride these new MotoGP bikes, they are not the same as before. Things change and he has to adapt.”

Marc Marquez, the rider who has crashed the most in this first part of the MotoGp World Championship despite three Grand Prix stops, has never managed to finish a Sunday race this season. The Catalan centaur is expected to race again next season riding for Honda, then his future remains a puzzle.
