Marco Bezzecchi spills the beans on Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez
Praise for his boss, no problem with his historical rival.
Marco Bezzecchi spills the beans on Valentino Rossi, his historic idol who has become over time first a mentor and then a real boss at Team Mooney VR46. At the same time, however, the Rimini rider also explains that he does not harbor any kind of resentment towards Marc Marquez, who was also one of the historical rivals of the ‘Doctor’ himself.
“Valentino Rossi has always been my absolute idol, as I grew up watching his races and victories,” Bezzecchi explained to the Spaniards of ‘Solo Moto’. “Now he is my boss, and I feel lucky to be able to work with him in that role. He is also special as a boss. I remember for example Mugello, where he helped me so much from the moment he arrived. The advice he gives me is invaluable.”
Much shorter, but equally clear, the answer about the one who in the collective imagination has become the quintessential opponent of the ‘Doctor’. “Loving Valentino Rossi does not necessarily imply hating Marc Marquez,” Bezzecchi clarified.
The Rimini native then wanted to give some indication about the future. “At the moment I don’t think about it, however, I would like to stay racing in my team with an official Desmosedici. Having an official Ducati is my dream, that’s clear. But it is also the reason why all of us in the VR46 Academy work hard every day. In MotoGP so many people have talent, what really pays is hard work and the desire to get there,” Bezzecchi concluded.
