F1, Sprint Shootout Gp Belgium: Verstappen pole, Ferrari on second row
After taking pole position in Friday’s qualifying session, Max Verstappen was also confirmed in the Sprint Shootout. The Dutch driver set the fastest time of 1:49.056, earning the right to start in first position in the Sprint Race of the Belgian GP. Completing the front row is the McLaren of Oscar Piastri with a gap of only 11 thousandths from the two-time world champion.
Ferrari also smiles as it places both cars on the second row, with Carlos Sainz ahead of Charles Leclerc. Rounding out the top 10 are Lando Norris (McLaren), Pierre Gasly (Alpine), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes), Sergio Perez (Red Bull), Esteban Ocon (Alpine) and George Russell (Mercedes).
