F1, Gian Carlo Minardi is blunt about Ferrari’s rainbow ambitions

During an interview with the microphones of “La Repubblica,” Formula Imola president Gian Carlo Minardi, among other topics, spoke out on Ferrari’s performance and rainbow ambitions.

I think what Vasseur said after the Belgian GP is correct. If they pay attention to all the details, they can play with the others. The level is very high, in qualifying there were about ten cars in less than a second. Now in the standings Ferrari is chasing 56 points behind Mercedes. It seems like a lot, but there are still 10 races and it can be done. If second place in the constructors’ standings is difficult, however, the fact that they have not come to play for the title at the last race of the year for more than 10 years cannot go unnoticed,” the former manager began.

“I think the Ferrari workforce has produced a car with obvious limitations. Maranello pays for too many seasons of inaction, it seems impossible to me that with so many employees they can’t find internal solutions. Unfortunately, we will have to wait a little longer because Red Bull’s lead seems really unbridgeable,” added Gian Piero Minardi.
