VR46, Marco Bezzecchi: “Too bad about the fall.”
Marco Bezzecchi’s words after the afternoon practice session at Silverstone
In a Silverstone with frigid temperatures, Marco Bezzecchi hit the day’s target, closing the afternoon session in seventh place, which means direct access to tomorrow’s Q2 (as per the new format ed).
First in FP1 (2’00.295 ed.) and immediately at ease riding the Ducati Desmosedici GP on the British track, Marco, despite a fall in the final, signs a good 1’59.018, a chrono that is worth the seventh time overall at a delay of eight tenths from the provisional pole (1’58.183, A. Espargaro ed.).
The centaur of the Mooney VR46 Racing Team spoke this way to the official channels after the free practice session: “A pity the fall, a very strong high side, but removed some pain here and there now, I’m still happy with the driving sensations. I felt really good and I can’t complain. We checked the data and I figured out what went wrong. It was my out lap and I went a little overboard with the tire. Overall, I was fast right away this morning and felt even better this afternoon. I just need to work on corner entry, I’m not 100 percent. Tomorrow the weather will be different, the wet is always tricky, but it will be for everyone.”
