Genoa, Cesare Casadei is being evaluated for the midfield

After the purchases of Retegui and Thorsby, Genoa is working to further strengthen the squad available to Alberto Gilardino. The Rossoblù management is reportedly following several profiles to satisfy the demands of the coach who was World Champion with the Italian national team in 2006.

According to reports from “Sky Sport,” the Grifone would have set its sights on Cesare Casadei, Chelsea’s 2003 class midfielder authentic protagonist with Italy in the Under-20 World Cup. The Ligurian club, in fact, would be working to find an agreement with the blues on the basis of a dry loan or with right of redemption and counter-redemption.

Last season the young Azzurri player made 15 appearances in the Championship with Reading, after playing a first part of the season with Chelsea’s second team.

Inbound, another name that would be circulating to reinforce the side lanes would be that of Emanuele Valeri, who after a positive season with the Cremonese shirt could marry the Rossoblù cause to return to play in Serie A.

On the outgoing side, on the other hand, Genoa has finalized the outright sale of Luca Lipani to Sassuolo: U.S. Sassuolo Calcio announces that it has completed the following calciomercato operation: Luca LIPANI (’05, midfielder) bought outright from Genoa CFC,” this is the note issued by the Emilian club.
