Lisa Vittozzi exults, Dorothea Wierer fourth

Lisa Vittozzi clearly won the City Biathlon in Wiesbaden, dominating the race with a fearsome performance at the range, with just three reloads used in the six shooting series of the German competition.
Behind her was the excellent Weidel, 45″ behind the Italian. In third place finished Frenchwoman Jeanmonnot, who despite a penalty, managed in the last lap to recover and pull away from Dorothea Wierer, who had overtaken her with a beautiful last standing series. The financier from Rasun used six reloads, particularly paying for the second series on the ground.
Lisa Vittozzi’s is the third Italian victory at the City Biathlon, two for the Sappadine and one for Wierer.
Vittozzi had taken the lead of the race already after the second series on the ground, when she shot a fast zero she came out of the range gaining 10″ on Kebinger and Jeanomonnot, while Wierer lost 30″ using three reloads.
After the third series on the ground, the Carabinieri bearer gained further margin, getting to 20″ on Jeanmonnot, while Kebinger lost so much by going into penalty. In fourth place settled Wierer with a good series.
At the last polygon, while Vittozzi closed what was now a formality, enjoying the last lap between two passionate wings of the crowd.
