Worlds, Marcell Jacobs still believes in it
Marcell Jacobs faces the World Track and Field Championships in Budapest with confidence, which he arrives at after difficult months affected by injuries and poor performances.
The 100-meter Olympic champion continues to believe in a good result, however: “Winning gold will not be easy, I have had many problems in recent months, but I have worked hard and I feel good, in good condition,” he told a press conference.
“I am always the first to want to run, to be able to prove my worth 100 percent but, unfortunately, injuries are part of the game. We have been trying to resolve the situation as best we can.”
“I have always been focused on this date with the World Championships. The rainbow one is the only 100-meter gold missing from my trophy case. Obviously, there were many doubts and concerns, but the most important thing is to be here in Budapest, completely focused.”
