Pecco Bagnaia, rival’s praise: “He’s like Verstappen”

Ducati centaur Pecco Bagnaia dominated the MotoGp weeekend in Austria, drawing applause from many rivals including Fabio Quartararo himself.

“Pecco is now a bit like Max Verstappen. He also has the best bike in years, I think. But you can have the best bike and still not get the results. It depends on the rider plus bike combination. Right now, though, he seems to feel unstoppable. I don’t see any rider who can be faster than him now.”

The Yamaha rider also spoke about Zarco’s landing at Honda: ” It’s a chapter that is coming to an end. I don’t know who will go there now. I have an idea, but it is not confirmed. In the end, it’s time for a new chapter for Johann as well.”

On his eighth place finish: “I am happy with what I achieved. At the beginning of the race my grip was extremely weak, I lost some positions and made mistakes. Then I had to recover and destroyed my tire. I gave everything and I’m happy about that.”
