Inter, there is a raise for Benjamin Pavard

Inter, after the successful debut against Monza, is back to work to complete the squad available to Simone Inzaghi. The priority for quite some time would be a reinforcement in defense to replace Milan Skriniar, who has settled at PSG on a zero-parameter basis. The main target would be Benjamin Pavard, Bayern’s French defender, whose contract expires in a year’s time and who has informed the Bavarian club that he does not want to renew and wants to leave the Bundesliga as early as this market session.

According to reports from “L’Equipe,” the Nerazzurri club has put a new offer of 28 million euros plus 5 million in bonuses on the table to convince the German club to let the 1996-born player leave. The meneghini, for their part, strong in the player’s willingness to wear Nerazzurri, would be working to file the last details to get to the final white smoke.

Bayern, for its part, would open to the transfer of the French defender only after the purchase of a replacement for the transalpine.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta also expressed himself on the negotiation in the pre-match of Inter-Monza: “The will of the player is important in a negotiation. In this case, the footballer expressed the will to come to us and this means a lot. However, Bayern is a very rich club and hardly does without its players of great quality and depth. Pavard is a player we all know and has won a lot, so in order to give the player to us he would have to find a replacement; therefore, it triggers mechanisms not only economic but of a hole in the roster that would have to be filled. These are the difficulties but the negotiation is still open.”
