Official: Sardar Azmoun è a new Roma player

Roma places an important blow in attack. The capital club, in fact, has announced on its profiles the purchase of Serdar Azmoun, an Iranian striker born in 1995 from Bayer Leverkusen, on loan with right of redemption.

"AS Roma è is pleased to announce the purchase of Sardar Azmoun from Bayer Leverkusen on a temporary basis, with an option to transfer outright, until June 30, 2024.

Striker born in 1995, Iran national team – has played in two World Cups, in 2018 and 2022 – Sardar Azmoun has worn the jerseys of Rubin Kazan, Rostov and Zenit, as well as Bayer Leverkusen. In his career, with club teams he has scored 115 goals and served 48 assists in 316 appearances. In the national team, he has scored 45 goals and offered 9 winning passes in 71 matches. 

He won 4 Russian Premier League, 1 Russian Cup and 2 Russian Super Cup. Top scorer of the Russian league in the 2019-20 season, è was voted footballer of the’year in 2021" this is the note issued by the Giallorossi club.
