Lorenzo Milesi wore the Vuelta leader’s red jersey at the end of the first stage of the Spanish race, a team time trial held in Barcelona and won by his formation, Dsm-Firmenich.
Milesi and his teammates covered the 14.8 kilometers of the course in 17'30'' ahead of Movistar, a Ef Education-Easypost and Remco Evenepoel’s Soudal Quickstep.
For Milesi, fresh U23 rainbow champion in the time trial, there'è also the jersey of best young rider. Tomorrow he will have to defend the lead in the second stage, the 182-kilometer Mataró-Barcelona.
